Welcome to Treedi, a platform that enables taxi drivers to earn passive income by sharing anonymized driving data. By accessing or using the Treedi mobile app or website (https://treedi.com) (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms form a legal agreement between you (“Driver,” “you”) and Treedi (“we,” “us”), a company registered in Canada. We may update these Terms periodically, with changes posted at https://treedi.com/terms-and-conditions. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance. You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed taxi driver to use the Services.
2. Use of the Services
The Treedi app allows you to earn income by sharing anonymized driving data (e.g., GPS routes, odometer readings, speed). To use the Services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and vehicle information during registration (e.g., name, email, taxi license).
- Grant consent for us to collect and process driving data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
- Maintain an active taxi license and comply with local transportation laws.
- Use the app only on supported devices with location services enabled.
- Not tamper with, reverse-engineer, or misuse the app’s functionality.
3. Driver Responsibilities
As a Driver, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring your vehicle is safe, insured, and compliant with regulations.
- Obtaining passenger consent if collecting data during rides (if applicable).
- Reporting issues (e.g., inaccurate earnings) promptly via info@treedi.com.
- Not sharing your account credentials or allowing unauthorized use.
- Complying with all applicable laws, including data protection (e.g., GDPR).
4. Payments and Earnings
Treedi enables you to earn passive income based on the volume and quality of driving data shared. Key terms include:
- Earnings are calculated using proprietary algorithms and paid monthly via bank transfer, subject to a minimum threshold (e.g., €10).
- You are responsible for taxes and fees associated with earnings.
- Treedi may adjust payout rates with 30 days’ notice, posted in the app.
- Inaccurate data (e.g., manipulated GPS) may result in withheld payments.
- Disputes must be raised within 60 days of a payout via info@treedi.com.
5. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All content, software, logos, and data analytics within the Services are owned by Treedi or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content without permission.
- Use Treedi’s trademarks (e.g., logo, name) in promotional materials.
- Claim ownership of anonymized driving data processed by Treedi.

6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms (e.g., submit fraudulent data).
- Misuse the Services or harm other users.
- Fail to maintain a valid taxi license.
You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting your account via app settings. Upon termination, unpaid earnings may be forfeited, and data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties. Treedi is not liable for:
- Loss of earnings due to app downtime or data inaccuracies.
- Damages from third-party actions (e.g., hacking).
- Indirect losses (e.g., lost profits, data breaches beyond our control).
Our liability is limited to the amount you earned via the Services in the prior 12 months, where permitted by law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Treedi against claims arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of laws, or breach of these Terms (e.g., collecting passenger data without consent).
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, excluding conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Canada, unless otherwise required by law (e.g., consumer protections).
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect new features or legal requirements. Changes will be posted at https://treedi.com/terms-and-conditions, and significant updates will be notified via email or app alerts. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
